- Check-in Monday, Check-out Thursday (3-nights) staying at the iconic art-deco boutique OLD POST OFFICE LODGE in the Ruapehu District, with its Sauna cabin, Hot-tub spa-pool, Fire-pit, two Kitchen-Dining rooms, and opulent Gatsby-style Lounge. [Rates include bedding, towels & cleaning.]
- Regarded as the top hiking trail in New Zealand and one of the Top 10 tramping treks in the world(!) this TONGARIRO ALPINE CROSSING package includes the premium guided tramp with the outstanding Adrift tours. This approx 8-hour walk, departs National Park Village around 7.30am (15-min drive from accommodation), returning about 5.30pm. Boots, clothing basics (and extra equipment during winter) all included. Reasonably good standard of fitness required.
- Optional $450pp upgrade to have your Group’s own customized private Tongariro Crossing tour, tailoring to your group’s fitness levels (although averaging 7-8 hours, the walk is able to take up to 10 hours).
